This still life explores the balance between warm, vibrant tones and a calm, cool background.

The rich orange mandarins create a natural focal point, while the soft teal surface and background bring a sense of quiet harmony to the composition. Subtle highlights and velvety pastel texture emphasise the freshness of the fruit, while the deep green leaves add structure and contrast.

I am particularly interested in simple, familiar subjects that allow colour and form to take the lead. In this piece, the composition is intentionally minimal, making it easy to integrate into a variety of interiors.
