Magnolia (2026) Original Gouache Painting by Igor Nekraha

In "Magnolia," the familiar image of spring blossom is transformed into a lyrical abstraction where light takes center stage. The minimalist composition, featuring a vast amount of open space at the top of the canvas, creates a sense of air and infinity characteristic of an early spring morning.

The central element—a delicate, almost calligraphic magnolia trunk—pierces through a warm glow of yellow and pastel tones. This work continues the artistic exploration of how nature breaks through urban daily life, bringing with it a sense of optimism and renewal. The soft, blurred strokes of gouache convey not so much the form of a flower, but the very feeling of the fleetingness and fragility of the moment.
