Lucky (2023) Original Oil Painting by Ilya Filatov

A young man, wrapped in warm, gentle rays of light, represents the inner world of the artist - a self-portrait. The figure turns away from the viewer, lost in distant thoughts, immersed in his own reflections. The turbulence of the unmade bed and the sunlight streaming through the window create dynamic light plays, like a fleeting cinematic moment capturing an instance of inner harmony and meditation. And then, a detail that reveals itself only upon closer inspection: from under the bed, peering from the shadows, a small puppy named Lucky emerges. A symbol of friendship and loyalty - priceless emotions that perhaps occupy the thoughts of the artist himself, or do they?
