Biography
I have been painting professionally since 2003 and for the past 22 years have been mainly producing highly textured, abstract impressionistic seascapes in acrylic paint from my studio in Cowes, Isle of Wight, UK. I have always adored the varied coastlines of the Island and beyond, and I especially love painting the seaweed bedecked , craggy shorelines at low tide. My palette comes mainly from observations on coastal walks and my emotional response to my surroundings. I am also a collector of painterly styles of textiles, prints and ceramics from the 1950s & 60s with all their wonderful texture and colour, which also influence my work.
