This painting is from the 2010 exhibition "Cardboard city". I used to live in London and was fascinated by the capital's ever-changing, constructed landscape. The title "Cardboard city" was chosen to describe London as a patchwork of progressive innovations and temporary arrangements. In 2025 I reframed the painting and added the text "London is calling". Ever since I moved from the capital, I have always felt that it is calling me back. However, in recent years the calling has not been as loud. That is why the statement is written backwards.
