A rare departure from the usual Isle of Skye paintings.
This painting is of Loch Morlich near to the town of Aviemore in Scotland.
This painting was painted from some reference material and a sketch I did a long time ago.
Most of the foreground is made up (artistic licence) but the land peninsula is real.
This acrylic painting has some quite heavy texture medium in the foreground and it is something I have been using regularly lately.
More colour in this than usual as well.
This painting is coated in two coats of protective varnish.
