This photograph seeks to capture the complexity, beauty and hierarchy amongst the veins in a leaf, highlighting the similarities to the networks of roads we build to connect our cities and houses. To me, what is particularly striking is that the leaf forms by itself, without teams of designers and craftsmen, but rather through the wondrous process of developmental biology.
