My work explores the interplay of pattern, personal history, and the natural world. Each piece is a culmination of years of accumulated paint, a record of my artistic journey. I build thick palettes, layer upon layer, allowing time and chance to dictate the final texture and color. These palettes become a microcosm of my own unique geological history, a record of my artistic evolution.
From these layered canvases, I extract slices, revealing hidden patterns and unexpected color combinations. These slices, seemingly repetitive, are in fact unique and unrepeatable. Each one holds a fragment of the past, a ghost of a previous painting, a memory embedded within the paint itself.
My work is a meditation on the cyclical nature of time, the constant flux of creation and destruction. It is an invitation to contemplate the beauty of the imperfect, the organic, and the inherently unpredictable.
