Original artwork description:

This nocturne is based on James Abbott McNeill Whistler's Nocturne in Silver and Grey. I have flippped his composition horizontally and replaced the light from a Thames-side building with pale yellow ochre moonlight. The piece has a sense of calm and tranquility. I felt incredibly peaceful making this piece and hope that the same feeling conveys to the viewer.

The piece is painted using exceptional quality Old Holland and Winsor and Newton Artists' series oil paints and mediums with the highest ratings of permanence and light-fastness on a fine grain fully-archival canvas panel measuring 30 cm by 24 cm, which will fit many off-the-shelf frames.

The painting will be packaged following best-practice guidelines and despatched by signed for and fully tracked courier. It is signed on the reverse and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

All paintings are unframed unless otherwise stated.

I endeavour to estimate shipping charges as accurately as possible. In the event of overcharging, I will refund the difference through Artfinder, and will bear the cost of any undercharging myself.

Outside of the UK and America there may be local duty / tax. If so, this is payable by the collector prior to delivery - the postal service/courier for your country will request payment if any is due. VAT on art imports is usually at a reduced rate compared with general VAT ratings, usually at between 5% and 8%.

Thank you for looking.
