The English counties of Devon and Cornwall sometimes have their difference. One of which is whether to apply the jam or cream first onto your scone when having a cream tea. This is a long standing argument and can bet quite heated. This view of a table top with a cream tea is playful in style and content. The scones, a jug, and a knife are simply painted. Tonal colour relationships, texture and composition integrate the objects into the space or stage.
