This painting of an American car viewed from above was inspired by a screen grab from a TV program. I liked the unusual angle showing off the car, and the way it is further enlarged by the shadow. The diagonal position of the car, partially repeated in the frame of the garage structure is then opposed in the opposite direction by the shadows and pump structure. This creates a dynamic. The motor is running, the car is primed and ready to go.
