It Got Loud (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Andrada Anghel

Big, hot red, not apologetic. Thick paint, fast moves, layers that don't hide. It brings heat to a quiet room.
This one started quiet and didn't stay that way. I kept layering - thick acrylic, palette knife, fast brushwork - until the red and fuchsia took over completely. There's orange in there, a hit of turquoise at the top, and then that deep indigo blue at the bottom trying to hold it all together.
You can see the history in it. Marks underneath, scratched back, painted over. The texture is heavy. It catches light differently during the day.
I called it It Got Loud because that's exactly what happened in the studio. Sometimes a painting needs to be loud.
