With this painting “Is it gone forever?”, I wanted to express the diversity that lies beneath what we see at first glance.

The many colorful layers of paint, blending into one another, each tell a story, a moment that occurred in the past. Gentle lines suggest the connection between them, as nothing truly exists in isolation. Because the paint layers have been sanded down to varying degrees, stories from different periods of time emerge, which then gently reconnect.

The white surface doesn't erase these underlying colors, but rather softens them, like memories that become veiled with time.

So, just because you can't see it anymore doesn't mean it's gone.

This painting has multi layers of acrylic paint on canvas making this work textural. The size of the unstretched canvas is 125 x 185 cm.
The recommended size for stretcher bars is 110 x 170 x 3,5 cm.
