Inversion (2026) Original Oil Painting by Anastasia Bas

Medium: Oil and acrylic on canvas
Size: 80 × 60 cm
Original painting

A solitary black dog is captured in a moment of movement, suspended between the ground and the sky. Its elongated body seems almost weightless, while the shifting shades of blue create an atmosphere of silence, distance, and freedom.

The painting explores the fragile boundary between motion and stillness, presence and absence. The dog's movement becomes a metaphor for transition — a fleeting moment between where we have been and where we are going.

Expressive brushstrokes, subtle contrasts, and a restrained colour palette create a sense of emotional depth and quiet tension.

This original artwork combines oil and acrylic on canvas.
