Original artwork description:

This work was part of my solo show ¨Aura¨ at Elsi del Rio Gallery in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Aura, the word that gives its name to the exhibition, describes the moment before something happens. A moment when perception expands and suddenly you are certain that something is about to happen. This premonitory ability, present in animals and lost by the human species, is what allows them to anticipate natural disasters, such as hurricanes, floods and droughts.
The animals that appear in Agosin's works are in a state of alert, their sharp eyes observing what is happening around them, although they remain calm, confident in their good star. In this new series, the artist continues to work with faceted language in the figures and places them in environments filled with references to urban culture such as graffiti and tag. The importance that street art acquires acts as a link with his activity as a muralist artist. Immersed in these scenarios, the animals seem to have returned to inhabit places from which they had been displaced by human development.
Octopuses, polar bears, cacti and aquatic plants. All of them have the clairvoyance to warn what will happen, and Agosin represents them at the exact moment in which their spiritual wisdom manifests. By observing them, we have the opportunity to learn from their sensitivity and tenderness, which allows them to overcome all attacks.
