Incision into Pulsating Matter
Beyond the Inside does not present itself as an image to be read, but as an experience to be entered. Suspended between emergence and disappearance, the work resists fixed form and invites a slow, meditative gaze. A dense central mass concentrates energy—unstable, fragmented—while a field of diffused light surrounds and veils it. The visible is not asserted, but negotiated, held in a continuous state of becoming.
Unlike other works in the series, a vector of light traverses the composition here, like a subtle incision. This luminous cut functions as an analytical gesture—as if the artist were attempting to section reality itself in search of a core, a nucleus of ideas. It is not a light that reveals, but one that investigates, penetrating a living, pulsating matter, displacing it without fixing it.
In this process, the artist acts as both alchemist and jeweler of visual matter—transforming raw fragments, traces, and interventions into forms of subtle, almost immaterial density. Like an archaeology of the image, the surface is simultaneously excavated and reconstructed: layers deposited, erased, and reconfigured. Structures do not emerge linearly, but from the tension between memory and erosion, between accumulation and loss.
Light becomes an active substance—it does not illuminate but filters, creating distance and depth. It protects and delays appearance, generating a quiet fascination. The viewer does not consume the work, but remains within it, in a space where meaning is continuously forming.
Traces of gesture persist as residues of time: softened marks, scratches, subtle tensions. These are not accidents, but the active memory of the process. Erosion does not destroy—it reveals. The final structure becomes the result of a negotiation between what has been and what remains.
At the center pulses a restrained turbulence, a compressed energy. Around it, silence is not emptiness but a fragile equilibrium—a serenity built from absorbed tensions. Forms appear and disappear, remaining in an ambiguous zone, never fully defined.
From this almost alchemical practice emerges an enigmatic painting, charged with an ideal substance—not material, but perceptual. Incision into Pulsating Matter becomes a space of transformation, where the visible and the invisible coexist, and the image is not given, but becomes.
