Improvisations (2023) Original Watercolour by Dariia Martsin

A watercolour improvisation inspired by Vermeer’s The Milkmaid. The familiar figure takes on a different character through flowing colours, deep blues, warm yellows and the unpredictable nature of watercolour. A personal interpretation of a well-known painting.
