icono-moon (2026) Original Pastel Drawing by Ivan Colas

35 x 35 x 1cm (unframed) / 35 x 35cm (actual image size)

£551.72

This work offers a dreamlike reinterpretation of the human figure, masked by an astronaut’s helmet with iridescent reflections that seems to contain an entire liquid or gaseous universe. Here, I play on the striking contrast between the geometric coldness of the silhouette and the soft, ethereal quality of the colors that envelop it. The pastel palette (pink, mint green, yellow), applied with an airbrush or synthetic texture effect, blurs boundaries and transforms the subject into a floating, mysterious presence, somewhere between science fiction and bittersweet reverie. It is a meditation on introspection, the inner void of space, and the fragility of human constructs in the face of the infinite.
