Hedgerow Dream (2024) Linocut by Kirsten Schmidt

This lino print was inspired by walking on Hampstead Heath here in London. Drawing the hedgerows and watching the birds led to this image.
Living near William Morris' former home it is also heavily inspired by his beautiful style of designs.
I print these on 100% cotton Khadi paper, a top quality acid free paper.
Lino prints are hand carved, then inked up using a roller and printed using a press. I love the process of working on the piece of lino and then seeing the final result when the main work is done. The blue is one of my favourite inks.

The paper measures A3 and fits into a ready made frame.
