Day eight of #birbfest2024 and we have the chunky-billed, seed sucking machine that is the Hawfinch.
That big beautiful beak isn't just for show it actually serves a purpose and is powerful enough to crack open cherry stones, to reveal the sweet treasure within. Any humans reading this, don't eat cherry stones, our bodies can turn the chewed up contents into cyanide. Any birds reading this, ask your mum first.
