A tightly coiled explosion of biomorphic surrealism. At the heart of Hamstrung sits a fleshy, porous pink-beige mass—part ham, part exposed organ—honeycombed with texture and cradled by thick, molten layers of buttery yellow and ivory that swirl outward like rendered fat or living flame. Cool blue-gray streaks slice across the upper left, while the lower right pools into deep blood-red and chocolate-brown shadows laced with glossy drips and cracks. The entire composition radiates tension: the yellow forms twist and vein like sinews, literally binding the central “ham” in place. The title Hamstrung is both literal and darkly witty—something vital is trapped, weighted, and unable to escape its own flesh.
