Happy new year,
This view is one of my favourite English vistas. You can get to it by walking north from Denmead in Hampshire over the hill to Hambledon. Particularly on late winter or spring days, the scene is very beautiful. I love the deep and vivid colours and the contrast of light and dark.
The church of St Peter and St Paul was built in the 11th century.. and the locals say that the game of cricket was created here.
