Gum Nuts are iconic elements of the Australian Landscape, there are so many varieties, unique shapes, colours and textures. I am drawn to the way light plays on the rough surface of the gum nuts,
Eucalyptus trees are known for their ability to thrive in harsh conditions, and I wanted to capture the spirit of resilience in this painting.
I have added texture behind the gum nuts giving a wonderful rough feel to them compared to the smoothness of the leaves. Another limited palette creation using mostly, greys, browns, greens and yellow on a warm neutral background.
Framed in a high quality raw oak float frame. If you would prefer this painting without the frame, please message me through this website for the price excluding the frame. The sides of the painting are painted the same colour as the background.
