I am constantly exploring the interactions of color, water, pigment, light, and gravity - watercolor is a journey into mindful awareness and understanding, and its marks and colors are each a snapshot of the singular moment that cannot be recreated.
In this series I challenged myself to use a beautiful but temperamental color - natural terre vert. This earth pigment results in an unusually delicate green color - a color redolent of green tea and transparent seaglass. I wanted to stick to the purity of one mark, minimal overpainting if any, and one moment in time.
It measures 9x12 inches and will need to be framed with plexiglass or glass over it in your choice of frame. It can be floated or mounted under a passepartout with a border.
