hi,
I attempt a self portrait every few years; this is the latest. the setting is at my home outside the horse stables where I paint and includes some of the animals we share our home with.
The coat I'm wearing is a faithful representation but all other elements of the picture are exaggerated. What I've tried to depict is the different textures of the environment and the ramshackle nature of the artists existence.
I will continue to work on the painting adding more details and animals,
enjoy xx
