Youth. Quiet Presence is a geometric drawing about the value of the person in the room who says the least.

The figure is part of the group yet occupies her own interior space — present, but turned inward. Her quiet detachment is not withdrawal but a different mode of participation: the one who observes rather than speaks, who holds her own perspective without asserting it. The structured spiral of 8 and 13 arcs around her — drawn from the geometry of the dandelion — gives form to what is often invisible in social spaces: the significance of the quiet participant.

This drawing is part of the Youth series — four preparatory works created as individual studies before being woven into the oil painting Youth (100 × 100 cm, 2025). Each figure was first developed separately, finding the gesture and posture that defines her emotional role. The painting Youth and all four drawings are available on my Artfinder profile.
