A large contemporary Scottish moorland landscape painting with a waterfall, inspired by the rugged wild moorland scenery of Glencoe on a misty day.
In this atmospheric impressionist landscape scene I have tried to portray the stillness and tranquility of the misty picturesque heather moorland scene with a view into a the glen in the highlands of Scotland, with a small burn or stream flowing over a small waterfall . Painted in muted autumnal colors colours of yellow ochres with a grey sky with a purple colour showing through the multi layered texture

Painted in a contemporary semi abstract impressionistic style with a palette knife and fingers using a unique textural technique that allows the colours of the under-painting to show through the top layers.

Painted using quality artists acrylics on a square format 39" x 39" (98 x 98cm) canvas mounted on board, with a varnish finish and white wooden frame ready to hang.
