My purple iris are just now blooming! And they're gorgeous! I love the dark purple iris. I didn't know what color the background should be, but the blue cerulean sky seems to be perfect. This is a large painting, 4 feet by 4 feet. It was fun to make, and it's satisfying to look at: lots of movement and lots of color!
