GA#169 Spot

Spot is a digital abstract artwork inspired by the essential visual language of Japanese art, stripped of figurative representation and reduced to the relationship between line, space, and color.

A black line, changing in thickness and intensity, moves across a white field and intersects with a stylized red sun. The composition is deliberately restrained, allowing each element to exist independently while creating a quiet tension between movement and stillness.

The red circle evokes the symbolic presence of the sun, while the black line introduces an organic gesture that contrasts with its geometric simplicity. By removing recognizable figures and narrative elements, I focus on the expressive potential of the most basic visual components.

The work explores how a single gesture can occupy an entire space and how reduction can become a form of expression. The white background is not simply empty space; it becomes an active part of the composition, giving the line and the red sun room to breathe.

Spot is ultimately an exploration of balance, silence, and visual presence an abstract composition in which very few elements are used to create a sense of movement and contemplation.
