Fries and checks - american diner (2025) Original Acrylic Painting by Mara Wanda

This vibrant acrylic painting presents a playful yet considered take on a familiar indulgence: French fries. Against a retro blue-checked background, the golden-hued fries are rendered with expressive brushstrokes, elevating the everyday snack to a subject of artistic exploration.
More than just a depiction of food, this painting explores the intersection of pop culture and still life tradition. The iconic status of French fries is acknowledged, while the artistic treatment invites contemplation on form, color, and the beauty found in the commonplace.
