Original artwork description
*Forest Clearing* was born from my fascination with those fleeting moments when light completely transforms a landscape. In this forest clearing, sunlight filters through the trees, making the grasses, ferns, and forest floor glow as if from within. For a brief instant, the forest seems to shift in character—transforming from a tangible location into a space filled with tranquility, resonance, and quiet energy.
My work seeks out these encounters between light and nature. Through transparent watercolor layers and an atmospheric, contemporary visual style, I aim to capture not just how a place looks, but how it feels. Light becomes the true subject of the painting, guiding the viewer’s gaze through the scene.
Like many of my landscape watercolors, this piece is shaped by a biophilic perspective on nature. It invites the viewer to pause, appreciate the beauty and fragility of natural spaces, and sense a deeper connection to the living world. An original work for collectors of contemporary landscape art, atmospheric forest paintings, and modern watercolor art.
