Flying Colors (2026) Original Oil Painting by Liubov Kuptsova

Flying Colors is a vibrant and dynamic original oil painting by Ukrainian artist Liubov Kuptsova, capturing a colourful parrot in mid-flight.

The bird appears to burst through the composition in a whirlwind of vivid blues, turquoise, emerald green, red, orange and golden yellow. Expressive palette-knife strokes follow the movement of the wings and feathers, creating a powerful sense of speed, freedom and energy.

The restrained light background allows the intense colours and rich impasto to take centre stage. Thick layers of paint give the feathers a sculptural quality, while the energetic brushwork makes the whole composition feel almost as if it is moving.

A joyful contemporary artwork celebrating colour, freedom and the untamed energy of flight.
