I painted this piece as a quiet meditation on sound and silence. The elongated face, eyes gently closed, becomes a vessel for inner music rather than outward expression. The flute extends from the figure like a breath made visible, a fragile line between what is felt and what is shared.

The textured surface and warm, glowing background reflect an emotional landscape—earthy, worn, and alive. I chose muted yet rich tones to evoke both stillness and depth, allowing the figure to exist somewhere between dream and memory.

For me, this work speaks about introspection, about the melodies we carry within, and the quiet moments where expression doesn’t need words—only presence.

Original artwork of a man playing a wind instrument, created in yellow colors on deep edge canvas stretched on a 38mm wooden frame for a modern look which can be hung on the wall without framing
This artwork was created using cut up drinking straws for the hair. The cut up and painted straws give the artwork a 3D effect.
Comes with certificate of authenticity.
