The work is done on fabric, which in Ukraine is called "plakhta". This is an ancient fabric (cotton, linen) with ornaments, which was used to sew national clothes. I sometimes use it as a basis for paintings, instead of a classic canvas. Ornaments play both a semantic and a compositional role. The image of a girl with flowers in her hair makes a reference to ancient times and images. The work is done with a spatula, oil paints.
