Floating Balloon (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Show Pony

35 x 38 x 2cm / 35 x 38cm (actual image size)

2 Artist Reviews

£180

Inspired in equal part by Banksy, and my friend’s wedding (after which my ceiling was covered with red helium balloons), ‘Floating balloon’ is the next in a series of cut-outs featuring icons of popular culture.

The balloon fixes to the wall, and the satin ribbon hangs loose giving a sense that the balloon is floating midair. Alternatively fix it on the wall with the top just touching the ceiling, as if it has floated up.

Painted with a combination of stencil and freehand. No two pieces will be exactly the same.

Each piece is individually hand-made, and each a one-off. The balloon you receive will not be the exact one as pictured, but in using the same stencils for each one they all look very similar. These balloons are a limited edition of 99.

Materials used:

Paint, uv-protective dead flat varnish, satin ribbon
