A seven colour reduction linocut depicting a quintessential Canadian scene: a Muskoka chair on a wooden dock looking out over the still waters of a lake in the moments before the sun rises over the trees and bathes the landscape in colour. A mug of tea or coffee await the viewer. A precious moment on a summer day at the cottage, before anyone else is up, before breakfast and before the first swimmers have arrived. A moment of tranquility, reflection, planning or simply watching the world awaken.
