‘Renewal’ speaks of a time in life when you are coming out of the doldrums with new energy, hope and capacity for enjoyment. For me this time is often associated with spring time, but of course we can experience this time of transition at any point in the annual cycle. There is joyfulness and playfulness in this painting which was experienced in the painting process itself.

The canvas has been painted around the edges in a complementary colour. Hooks and cord are attached at the back – the painting is ready for hanging.
