February (2026) Original Mixed-media Painting by lucia dibi
50 x 75 x 2cm (unframed)
£689.6
Original artwork description
Febbraio originates from a Milanese courtyard: a plastered facade with shuttered windows, a mosaic floor with decorative motifs, a dark vent that interrupts the continuity of the wall. In the pictorial translation the palette transforms: the greys of the paving become deep violet, the plaster ignites into pink and green, while a golden band runs along the edges of the painting as an autonomous compositional element. My process begins with digital photography, which I decompose and simplify before transferring it onto canvas with acrylic colors mixed with sand, seeking a materiality that restores weight and presence to the image. Mounted on panel, ready to hang. Certificate of authenticity included.
Materials used:
acrylics and sand on canvas
