Little Sparrow (2026) Original Oil Painting by Ira Whittaker

I painted this little sparrow as a celebration of an ordinary but beautiful moment in nature.
The soft gray-blue background, muted greys and warm brown and ochre feathers create a calm, gentle atmosphere, while the visible brushwork keeps the painting feeling fresh and alive.
I love the quietness of this small encounter — a bird simply resting on a stone, completely unaware that someone has stopped to notice it.
An original oil painting, hand-painted by me in my studio in England.
Enjoy my art.
