Original artwork description
In this work, while I depict concrete forms, my aim is not simply to reproduce what is there. By placing blues, pale hues, and a vivid pink—which encircles the composition—within a vast, predominantly white field, I seek to capture the moment when forms emerge, waver, and eventually transform into something else.
White represents emptiness and stillness, yet it is also a state of pure potential—a space of infinite possibility. The blue that appears within it rises to the surface like fragments of memory, life, or consciousness. Meanwhile, the pink enveloping the scene infuses the entire composition with a palpable tension, embodying sensations and vital energy that transcend reality.
I treat color not merely as decoration, but as a medium that evokes the very essence of existence. Through the layering, scraping, and preserving of brushstrokes—and by embracing forms born of chance—I explore the landscape that lies between the conscious and the unconscious.
Rather than imposing a definitive narrative or a single answer upon this work, I hope that the viewer’s own memories and sensations will come alive within the image. Existence emerging from color, and new color born from existence—this cycle itself lies at the heart of my artistic exploration.
