"Evolutionary Gambit" (2026) Original Oil Painting by Lena Vylusk

The painting immerses the viewer in an atmosphere of magical realism and surrealism in the best traditions of Salvador Dali and Rene Magritte. The chessboard becomes an arena where eras collide: a giant white chicken rises above toy dinosaurs, as if proving the victory of evolution and time. A golden clock suspended in the air captures the moment of a hypnotic dream or a frozen moment between the past and the future. The dramatic stormy sky in the background enhances the feeling of mystery and unreality of what is happening. Elements of academic painting are combined here with a playful, almost postmodern concept, encouraging the viewer to search for their own semantic associations. Signed on the back and front of the canvas, the work will be carefully packed in a protective film and thick cardboard.
