The current series focusses on absence as an event to be recorded. The narrative is a consideration of what took place just before and what may follow. In this series the artist is immersed in the act of painting. As always mystery is at the core. Rather than expressing what might be described as unique, this is an exploration of what is shared. What are the images that we, as humans, find meaningful? What do we describe as personal? What are our memories composed of? Each painting is a conversation to which we all all can contribute, for which we all have stories.
