"Evening walk" is a painting from the "Mixing Life and Art" series, dedicated to moments when the boundary between familiar reality and the art world suddenly disappears.

The foreground depicts evening London, recognizable by Big Ben, the Palace of Westminster, red buses, city streets, and autumn foliage. However, in the center of the composition, an unusual rupture in the pictorial space appears. Instead of a familiar urban fragment, a completely different world opens within it—a vibrant scene from a Vincent van Gogh painting, featuring a cozy café bathed in warm light.

This fragment becomes a portal between two works and two realities. The London street continues to exist in its own time and space, but unexpectedly gains a window into another artistic world. Past and present, the real city and art history are united within a single canvas.

In this way, the work continues the main principle of the series: familiar reality is never completely closed off. It can open unexpected passages into other paintings, eras, and artistic worlds. The viewer witnesses this intersection and is given the opportunity to simultaneously find themselves on a London evening street and peer into a warm evening created by Van Gogh.

The "Art Nearby" series

What if one day you walk down a familiar street and see a painting you've known all your life?

The "Art Nearby" series explores this surreal situation. Artistic worlds emerge from their confines and unexpectedly find themselves within contemporary reality. The past meets the present, the museum meets the street, and classical painting meets everyday life.

The series' central idea is that art never remains in the past. It lives on, changing our perception of the world and unexpectedly returning to our everyday lives.

Each work becomes a portal between two worlds. Through it, familiar images, landscapes, and characters penetrate everyday reality, transforming an ordinary space into a meeting place for different eras. The boundary between a painting and our lives turns out to be arbitrary. Art can appear anywhere; it doesn't simply depict the world, it becomes part of it.

At the same time, the works are not copied literally. The artist reinterprets them and places them in a new context, creating a third reality—a meeting place for the past and the present.
