Looking across the Thames at the City of London, "Ethereal City" reimagines the familiar skyline through a delicate interplay of vertical and horizontal motion. The horizontal blur evokes the relentless pace and restless flow of urban life, while the vertical blur exaggerates the soaring geometry of the modern towers, stretching them into something dreamlike and otherworldly. The result is a cityscape transformed — a moment of London distilled into pure movement, rhythm, and abstraction.

What begins as a recognisable skyline dissolves into pure form — a study of line, rhythm, and vertical tension, yet the softened tones and diffused contrasts lend the scene a quiet, dreamlike stillness, as if the city is momentarily caught between presence and disappearance.
