Ember Tide (2026) Original Oil Painting by Anastasia Chernysheva

Ember Tide captures a fleeting moment along the coast, where a warm orange sky meets the deep, shifting tones of the sea. The strong horizontal structure of the composition creates a quiet sense of distance, while the darker foreground brings weight and depth to the scene.

A small group of birds scattered along the shoreline introduces a subtle rhythm and a sense of life within the vast coastal space. Their presence contrasts with the stillness of the horizon, making the landscape feel both open and inhabited.

The painting explores the meeting of colour, atmosphere and movement at the edge of land and sea. The simplified forms and layered brushwork move the image beyond a literal view of the coast, toward a more atmospheric and abstract perception of landscape.

Oil on linen canvas, 40 × 50 cm. The canvas is stretched on a wooden stretcher and is ready to hang. The edges are painted, allowing the work to be displayed without a frame. Signed on the back and shipped with a certificate of authenticity.
