Ely Riverside is a wonderful place to walk, relax, and paint. There is always so much variety to observe, and it feels different every time I visit. Painted in oils in my usual bold, colourful style, this work depicts two boats in the foreground with the railway bridge behind. With Duxford close by, planes are often flying overhead — the phrase “trains, boats, and planes” naturally comes to mind.
