This original botanical eco print on natural wool thick felt is one of the latest artworks of the talented professional Bulgarian artist Irina Goleva, deeply inspired by modernism, naturalism and postimpressionism. Eco printing is a form of natural dyeing where the colors from plant and flower material are transferred to fabric via steaming. It is eco printed on natural white wool felt with organic materials like flowers, eucalyptus leaves and plants, and the beautiful framing is scots pine wood, treated with the Japanese Yakisugi technique. Yakisugi (焼杉) is an ancient Japanese woodworking tradition of preserving wood with fire. It highlights the natural color and texture of wood, makes it more weather-resistant and durable for centuries. And color it naturally in coal black color. After that the wood is sealed with natural teak oil. It is one unique organic floral wall décor and inspirational housewarming gift.
