I created this artwork as a joyful celebration of colour, freedom and imagination. I wanted to capture the spirit of a whimsical bird that feels playful, curious and full of personality. Rather than portraying a real species, I focused on emotion and movement, allowing bold brushstrokes and vibrant colours to express confidence, optimism and creative energy. For me, this painting is a reminder to embrace individuality and see the world with a sense of wonder.
Working with expressive acrylic techniques, I layered sweeping gestures, rich textures and spontaneous marks to create a dynamic composition full of rhythm and life. The striking contrasts between deep blues, vivid pinks, brilliant yellows and warm reds give the artwork a strong visual presence, while the textured, impasto-inspired details add depth and character that continue to reveal themselves over time.
