Electric Moon (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Samantha Malone

"Electric Moon" is a vibrant painting depicting an abstract dancer beneath a glowing red moon. Inspired by movement, rhythm and the freedom of dance, the work is built from bold, interlocking shapes and lines.

Electric blue, turquoise, mustard and vivid coral reds stand out against deep Prussian blue and soft cream backgrounds. Layers of acrylic paint, visible brushstrokes and small geometric details give the surface richness and depth, while the strong lines and curved forms reflect my love of mid-century modern design.

I wanted to create a piece that feels both bold and playful, combining my fascination with color and geometric abstraction with the expressive nature of abstract forms. The result is a colorful, contemporary statement artwork full of movement and personality.

Part of my Forma collection, this work continues my exploration of abstract movement and connection under a moonlit presence.

The artwork was painted on un-stretched Italian cotton canvas, with a 6 cm border left for stretching onto a canvas frame. This artwork is shipped rolled in a tube for safe international delivery and can be affordably stretched at your local framing store.
