ECO (2026) Original Mixed-media Painting by Johna Gussoni

67 x 73 x 4cm (framed)

£1,637.8

The composition is made from 1.300 tobacco sticks placed in a series of concentric rectangles, a formal choice intended to symbolically evoke the concept of recycling and
the regeneration of materials.
The concentricity suggests a continuous movement: a process in which
what usually reaches its end now is reintroduced into a new cycle, as happens in product recycling processes.

The colour palette ranges from green to aquamarine. I chose these tones because they directly evoke natural elements (vegetation and water) and refer to the themes of environmental balance, sustainability and the relationship between material and nature.

The aim is to visually represent, through form and colour,
the idea of a circular system in which resources don't end or pollute, but are transformed and continue to generate new life and new beauty.

Materials used:

paint, tobacco, paper, cellulose, resin
